After earning his Master of Science degree, Jim co-founded
BRANDEX gmbh. Headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, BRANDEX took aim at the emerging demand for consumer electronics in Europe.
Within four years, BRANDEX became a leading high-tech distributor and established brands, such as Bose, as household names.
Innovator
Realizing its unique business assets, Bose Corporation
acquired BRANDEX and subsequently appointed Jim as its Director of Special Markets. A few years later, Jim
became the Director of Field Marketing for the entire North American Division. In these roles, Jim developed and drove creative
B2B and consumer marketing that established Bose as the most respected name in sound and earned him the coveted President's
Award for outstanding contribution to the Corporation.
Strategic Engineer
Drawing from his success, Jim formulated Practical Strategic Planning, a proprietary process for creating, and continuously improving,
winning business strategies. He founded the consulting firm, Customer
Focus Engineering, to bring this invaluable business tool to emergin and midsized companies, including Kenwood USA
and Sager Electronics, the leading electronics distributor in the United States.
Visionary
In the course of his consulting, Jim became
aware of the obesity epidemic that is driving up health care costs and reducing the quality of life for millions of Americans.
